Makes about 12 servings.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Break up the chocolate in little pieces and put in a small pot with the milk. Heat the pot until the chocolate is melted and milk is smoothly mixed in. Take it off the heat and let it cool. Mix the butter, sugar and egg together until foamy. In another bowl, mix the cornstarch, baking powder and flour. Mix this with the foamy mixture and then mix in the melted chocolate and milk mixture. Finally mix in the pistachios. Set aside 5 cherries and cut the rest of the cherries into quarters. Mix these into the batter.
Prepare a ring foam pan with margarine coating in the inside. Put the batter in the pan and bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
