2lbs ground beef1 cheap cut of steak, chopped4 28oz can tomatoes1 10oz can corn1 10oz can kidney beans4-9 garlic cloves1 onionSeasonings:garlic powdersaltpeppercilantrochili powder
Sautee garlic & onions, set aside. Brown ground beef & chopped steak. Drain fat away from the meat, rinse if desired. Add beef & onions & garlic to a large stock pot with desired seasonings. Be generous!
Add the tomatoes, corn, and kidney beans and 2 cups of water.
Simmer for about an hour until the smell is overwhelming and you can't help but devour it. Serve with toasted whole wheat tortillas ripped into "chip-size" pieces.
This recipe freezes well in individual portions. Serving sizes are approximately 1.5 cup portions.
