Slow Cooker Hungarian-Style Goulash

2lbs Beef Rump Roast- cut into cubes6 medium onions2 cups portobello mushrooms1/2 cup water1 tbsp paprika1/4 tsp black pepper1 tsp browning sauce1 can (14oz) crushed tomatoes16 oz broad noodlesCarway seeds, for garnish
Coat nonstick skillet with nonstick spray and warm over medium heat. Add beef and cook until well-browned on all sides, 4-6 min. Add onions & mushrooms to same skillet, and saute them until onions are translucent, 3-5 min,
Transfer onion-mushroom mix to crock pot. Pour 1/2 cup water into skillet & bring to a boil, scraping skillet to remove brown drippings. Pour liquid into crock pot. Add paprika, pepper, browning sauce & tomatoes to crock pot. Mix well.
Cover & cook on LOW until beef is tender- 8-10 hours. When goulash is done, boil noodles in water & drain. Serve goulash over hot noodles & garnish with sprinkling of caraway.
