Savory Sliders with wheat rolls

- Number of Servings: 12
Ingredients
Directions
1 lb lean ground beef2 stalks of green onion sliced thin OR1 small onion, diced finely2-3 button mushrooms, diced finely2 eggs (or egg substitute if you wanna be more healthy)1 tsp garlic pwdr or flakes (adjust to taste)1 tsp low sodium soy sauce1 tsp worcestershire sauce1 tsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)1 pkg wheat dinner rolls (12 rolls)
In a large bowl mix together ground beef, onion, mushrooms, eggs, and all the seasonings in a bowl until well combined. In a large cookie sheet, press out the beef. (TIP:I measured mine out a little longer and wider than my package of buns, because they will shrink.) Cut into 12 even squares, making sure they are a little bigger than the rolls. Fry each square patty for about 3 mins on each side. It doesn't take long because they are thin, so watch them, if they cook too long they will be dry. If desired, top with cheese while they are still hot, and serve with desired toppings. About 10 mins or so before serving, wrap your rolls in foil and place in a warm oven. This makes 12 sliders. Serve with sliced veggies in place of the fries so you don't over indulge on the bread carbs!

I make something similiar but when I pan cook them I add onion soup over the top and let them simmer in the broth the burgers take on the onion flavor and stay really moist, I also use Turkey instead of beef and the onion flavor helps with the lack of flavor in ground turkey. - 3/13/09
