Braised Apples and Cabbage, Kim's

Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil3 medium granny smith apples peeled and cubed1/2 tsp each, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground allspice2 tbsp apple cider vinegar1 cup apple cider1 small head (about 2 lbs) cabbage cored and coarsely chopped
Directions
put 1 tbsp olive oil in dutch oven or large frying pan that you have a cover for. Add chopped apples and let caramelize a little. Add spices, cider and vinegar. Bring to boil, drop to a simmer, add cabbage to top and cover. Simmer for about 20 minutes.
