Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour1 cup white flour1/4 cup sugar2 tsp baking powder3/4 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp cinnamon3/4 cup raisins (optional)2 cup unsweetened applesauce1/4 cup vegetable oil
Directions
in large bowl combine flours, sugar, baking powder and soda, cinnamon and raisins (3/4 cup optional) stirring well to evenly combine the dry ingredients.
in a medium bowl whisk applesauce and oil together.
add applesauce mixture to flour mixture just to moisten. spoon batter into a lightly oiled standard muffin tin. bake 18-20 minutes or until golden. yields 12 muffins.
