Roasted Green Beans with Smoked Paprika

Olive oil or canola cooking spray2 cups (approx 1/2 lb) fresh green beans, topped and tailed1 1/2 tsp olive oil2 tsps smoked paprika1/4 tsp salt or 1/2 tsp kosher salt1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper1 tbsp grated parmigano-reggiano or manchego cheese for garnish (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Spray a large, heavy cookie sheet with cooking spray. Add green beans, olive oil (drizzling slowly, as you may not need all of oil) and spices and toss to combine.
3. Roast for about 25 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.
4. Garnish with a light sprinkle of parmigiano-reggiano or manchego cheese, if desired.
