3 tablespoons butter3 tablespoons flour1 cup milkOptional: 1/2-1 teaspoon of salt or poultry seasoning, 2-4 tablespoons sauteed mushrooms, sauteed celery or diced chicken.
Melt butter on low and stir in flour (add salt or poultry seasoning here too). Whisk in milk and heat over low heat 5-10 minutes or until thick. Do not boil. Stir in optional mushrooms, celery or chicken here.) Remove from heat and stand 10 minutes. This equals a can of condensed cream soup right out of the can, before adding water.
