My family runs a Maple Syrup Farm in Michigan. Our sales have been down this year due to COVID. The Farmer's Markets aren't happening as usual. We do ship all around the country! We made 3,500 gallons this year, but most are stuck in barrels.

the recipe in the book by Stanley boroughs is for 1 serving is 1 oz organic lemon juice 1oz pure maple syrup and 8 oz spring water 1/10 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. = 10 oz. to get as close as possible to a gallon multiply the recipe x 12. 12 oz lemon juice 12oz maple syrup 96oz water=120oz - 6/6/14

The recipe is enough for only a day. I can't imagine a problem with bacteria being an issue here @Jeannie1946. - 2/21/12

I've made just enough for a day's worth, so I didn't have any problems with the drink going bad. Read "Staying Healthy with the Seasons" by Elson M. Haas, MD. Page 42/43 provides good guidance on how to go about fasting for the spring. - 3/23/09

how long does the product stay fresh? Do I need to refrigerate it? Doesn't bactweria set in due to the maple syrup? - 3/22/09
