Fruit in the middle oatmeal muffins

Ingredients
1 1/4 Cup whole wheat flour1 1/4 cup oats2 tsp. baking powder1 tsp. baking soda1/4 tsp. salt1 cup unsweetened apple sauce1/2 cup low fat milk1/2 cup packed brown sugar2 tbsp. oil1 large egg3/4 cups berries (frozen or fresh) of your choice
Directions
Stir all dry ingredients together except for the sugar. In a separate bowl add sugar and other wet ingredients. Mix to dry ingredients to moisten.

400F Degree oven for 18 minutes. Makes 12 muffins. Fill muffin cups to the top either in a paper or greased pan. I add a teaspoon of batter, then place my berries in the middle and top them with another teaspoon of batter on top. Makes a nice surprise when you bite into the muffin.
