Walnut Lace Cookies

1 stick (half a cup) of unsalted butter, cut into 8 piecesHalf of a cup of firmly packed light brown sugarOne third of a cup light corn syrupHalf a tsp. salt1 cup of finely chopped walnuts, toastedHalf a cup or all-purpose flourHalf a cup of old-fashioned oats1 tsp. vanilla extract
1. Heat oven to 350 F. Grease 2 baking sheets. In medium saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to biol over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in walnuts, flour, oats, and vanilla extract.
2. Drop batter by level teaspoonfuls onto prepared sheets, spacing 3" apart. (leave 2" between dough and edges or baking sheets).
3. Bake 6-7 minutes, until golden. Cool 2 minutes on sheets or until cookies are firm enough to pick up with spatula.Place on wire racks to cool. Do NOT ovelap cookies. Repeat process until batter is finished.
