Split Pea soup with Turkey Ham

1lb pag of Split Peas1lb Turkey ham cubed1/2 Medium onion4 oz grated carrots4 cloves of garlic6-8 cups of water
Dice Turkey Ham, Onions, Grate Carrots, Press Garlic and Rinse Split Peas.
Spray bottom of large cooking pot with non stick cooking spray and saute the ham, onions and garlic until browned. Add 7 cups of water, carrots and split peas, bring to a boil. Turn down and cover with tilted lid. Simmer 30 minutes. If you likes your soup a little runnier add one more cup of water. I like mine a little thicker. Stir occasionally.
