Bacon Cheeseburger Macaroni

Ingredients
1/2 lb. ground beef6 slices bacon1 box Kraft Macaroni & Cheese
Directions
Cook 1 lb. ground beef thoroughly. Drain and set aside.
While the ground beef is cooking, prepare macaroni and cheese as directed on box.
Lay 3 paper towels on a microwave safe plate, place bacon on paper towels and cover with an additional 2 paper towels. Cook on high heat for approximately 5 minutes or until crispy.

Remove bacon and place on new paper towels to remove as much of the grease as possible.

Add ground beef and bacon to macaroni and cheese in saucepan and serve.

Makes 4 servings approximately 2 cups each.

    I'm thinking that imitation bacon bits may bring down the fat and calorie count to some degree. What do you think. Also using the lean ground beef. - 3/20/07
