Lowfat Egg White & Milk Custard

2 cups skim milk150 ml liquid egg white1 tablespoon of Splenda(optional: 1/8 tsp of ground ginger)
Heat milk and sugar (and ground ginger if desired) in a small pot on low heat. Stir until the milk simmers. Do not heat milk to a boil.
Let the milk cool down to room temperature.
Mix the milk with the egg whites.
Strain the milk and egg mixture through a sieve.
Pour the mixture into 2 serving bowls.
Cover the bowls with aluminum foil.
Steam the milk and egg mixture for 10 minutes on medium heat.
Makes 2 servings.
Serve hot or cold.
