I omitted the ramen and added grated carrot and julienned cucumber for freshness and it turned out awesome! - 9/25/11

Although I know this is listed as vegetarian, but I was sad to find out it wasn't vegetarian at all. The Chicken packet that comes with the ramen noodles has chicken in it. It's made from dehydrated chicken broth. Its sounds nice, but maybe I can find a substitute or something. - 11/19/10

I made this today using 1/2 the oil and no almonds (because I didn't have any!) How will that change the nutritional value? - 2/25/10

I have been looking for this recipe for years after trying it at a potluck. I settled on a similar recipe for the past couple of years, but stopped making it because it was really high in calories. I LOVE this salad and am so happy I finally found it! - 5/8/09

I make this and wondered about calorie content. I use the prepackaged broccoli slaw instead of the cabbage. - 5/5/09

Slenderclaire, use the ramen noodles uncooked. - 5/5/09

My mom used to make this recipe & I had forgotten about it. But I definitely need to do it again! You don't HAVE to bake the noodles, but I bet it'd be even better that way. I've not used vinegar. Just the oil & packet & sugar. I'm not typically a fan of cabbage. but in this recipe it's awesome - 5/5/09

I have been making this for years, but I haven't browned the noodles...I bet that really adds a lot and I will be trying it very soon. I love this salad. Thanks - 4/18/09
