Baked Onion Rings
- Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
Directions
Onions, raw, 1 large (remove)Kashi GoLean Original Cereal, 2 cupGreat Value Multigrain Flakes Cereal 1/2 cup, Egg white, 2 serving Garlic powder, 1 tsp Onion powder, 1 tspSeasoned Salt, 1 tsp
Really I used 3 cups of Kashi and 1 cup of the Multi-Grain Flakes, but you end up using about half of the mix, so I only accounted for half in the calculations.
Next time I'll use more seasonings, including some sweetener or sugar, just a tad.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grind the cereals and seasonings in a blender under powdery like flower.
Slice the onions into rings.
Dip the rings into egg yolk.
Then dip into the cereal/seasoning mix.
Lay in a pan, gently overlapping the other rings.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
