Kraft Slow Cooker Sweet & Sour Chicken

Ingredients
1/2 med onion sliced1 med carrot sliced1 med celery sliced3 chicken breasts1/3 c firmly packed brown sugar1/3 c catalina dressing1/4 c soy sauce1 tsp ginger1 can pineapple liquid reserved1 tbsp cornstarch1 med green pepper sliced1 med red pepper sliced
Directions
put carrots, onion and celery in slow cooker. top with chicken. combine brown sugar, catalina, soy sauce and ginger. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours. During last 30 min stir cornstarch into pineapple liquid. pour in with pineapple and bell peppers. cover, turn to high.

Serve over hot cooked brown rice (not in nutritional count).

    I made this and it was delicious! The sauce made an incredible almost broth. I didn't use celery, and I didn't like the carrots in this. I also added 1/3 cup cider vinegar because I like my sweet and sour tangy, not just sweet. I'll definitely make this again! - 5/12/10

    This is a keeper, we really enjoyed it, didn't have catalina dressing so subbed in French and I used sweetner instead of sugar. I also put in a can of pineapple chunks at the start, - 2/7/10

    This was fabulous! Very tasty! My adult son really loved it. I think the cooking time is too long ( veggies mushy) and the last 30 min. should be longer to get peppers more tender.
    I did not use brown sugar but Zylitol. I will make this again! Thanks for the reicpe! - 8/9/09

    I make this recipe and have been making it for sometime but I put in Gluten Free Soya Sauce and I have a lovely Gluten Free Meal and I have even frozen it in portions for a quick meal with some plain white rice :D - 9/16/13

    This is fabulous! Even my hubby who hates cooked pineapple and hates all veggies seemed to like it. I only put a little chicken since it is only the two of us but next time I will add more chicken because there are a lot of veggies leftover and we could have it for leftovers for sure! Yum! - 2/3/13

    This was really good! Not PF Chang's or Panda Express but it was good.. I made just as it is written with reduce sodium soy sauce. Next time I'll just put the peppers in the same time as the carrots and onion. - 2/3/11
