trail mix turkey burgers

Ingredients
1 lb of 93% lean ground turkey1/2 cup of dried cranberries (craisins work nicely)1/2 cup of sunflower seedssalt and pepper to tast2 egg whites1/2 a cup uncooked oats
Directions
mix all ingredients together, shape into 9 palm size patties, and grill or bake as you would normally....perfect with a slice of calorie reduced swiss cheese on top.. feel free to mix up the combinations another good one is walnuts and dried cherries or for a bigger variety just add a cup of trail mix instead...

    I really liked these. I didn't have sunflower seeds on hand, so I used chopped almonds, and I used egg beaters (equiv. 1 egg) also. It was a little hard to get the patties formed, but a few minutes in the freezer did the trick. Now I have extras frozen for a quick dinner! Thanks! - 1/29/08
