* Ground beef, extra lean, 32 oz (2 lbs) * Onions, sweet red, raw, 1 cup, chopped * Peppers, sweet, red, raw, sliced, 1 cup * Del Monte Diced Tomatoes, No Salt Added, 2 cup * Bush's Chili Beans, 2 cup * Chili powder, 3 tbsp * Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tbsp * Garlic, 1 clove * jalepeno pepper (2-4 depending on desired heat)
cook hamburger, add onions, peppers and garlic.
once burger is thoroughly cooked add chili powder, cayenne pepper, dash of salt and pepper to taste.
Add tomatoes and beans (do not drain). Simmer for 30 minutes. Makes a thick hearty chili, garnish with cheese and sour cream or eat as is. Makes approximately 8 - 1 cup servings.
