for anyone who wants to try this dish but thinks its to high in sodium, opt for low sodium tuna in water, and low sodium soups. They are out there. This is a great recipe and its easy to adjust things like sodium, ect.. - 10/6/09

Condensed "cheese" soup has an interesting texture and taste but it's not one of my favorites. I use 2 wedges of Laughing Cow light cheese and a little 2% milk instead. This is an easy, delicious way to use the veggies in the crisper or freezer. Really filling served with a salad. - 10/7/09

We really liked this. We removed the bread crumbs and mushroom soup and used a little nonfat milk to make up for the loss of the soup. It was excellent. It's going to replace my usual tuna casserole recipe, as we loved the cheese sauce. - 4/8/08

When I was growing up it was just noodles, tuna and cream of mushroom soup. I started adding things later when I learned to cook. Now mine is more veggies than noodles and I add water chestnut for a little crunch! - 10/6/09

I will continue to use my old recipe which calls for only one can of tuna, whole wheat pasta, low-sodium, reduced fat cream of mushroom soup and reduced fat cheese. I also top it with whole wheat bread crumbs. I serve the peas on the siade for those who like them. - 10/6/09

Perfect autumn comfort food. Use 2% or low-fat cheese, add 1/2 c. of peas or winter-blend veggies. Cauliflower goes great! Substituted ~1/3 c. 1% milk for cream of mushroom and omitted breadcrumbs, and it turned out wonderfully! Thanks for sharing. - 10/6/09

Great...I like alittle spice so I added 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper and 1 tsp of chives with about 10 leaves of fresh oregano torn in half.... - 9/16/09

If you don't have bread crumbs on hand, you could also crush crackers or chips to spread on top. This is also similar to my mom's recipe, one of my all-time favorite foods :) - 9/2/08

This was so good!! For anyone complaining about the serving size, 1 cup was more than enough when served with a salad and veggie on the side. Just because you want more doesn't mean you need more. This is the perfect comfort food for those cold evenings. - 10/9/09

I tried this recipe at my husbands request. I'm usually not big on this type of food. I used cream of chicken soup because I didn't have the cheese soup. It turned out fine. My husband and the rest of the family just loved it. Thanks for sharing! - 1/26/09

We make this all the time and my grandkids love it. We change out the veggie we use sometimes brocolli or mixed veggies for a variation. - 10/6/09

I don't think you included the cheddar cheese soup in the nutritional breakdown. I think the nutrition info is wrong. - 10/7/09

I am now on the lookout for low fat cheddar cheese soup. I've enjoyed a similar recipe for years but not with cheese soup -- this sounds like a great addition! Long live cheese!! - 2/17/09

Sounds good. I can not wait to try this one. My mom used to make something very similar to this for us growing up...I loved hers and I am certain I will love this. I too am a HUGE cheese lover. So anything topped, filled or sprinkled with cheese is A-OK with me!!! - 10/6/09

Sounds yummy! This will be a fall comfort food at our house. We love cheese!! I think I will use the 2% sharp cheddar, though. - 7/7/09
