Fried Asparagus Parmesan

Ingredients
6-8 Fresh Asparagus Spears 5-7 " long1 Tbsp. unsalted butter1 tsp. garlic1 tsp. olive oil1/2 Tbsp. fresh Parmesan cheese
Directions
Rinse Asparagus spears, snap off ends
Melt butter in frying pan
Add garlic
Add olive oil
Add Asparagus
Fry for approx. 10 minutes, or until crisp, turn occocasionally with fork
Set on plate
Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top
Voila!

    It sounds delicious, but it has a lot of added oil/fat from the butter and olive oil (for people limiting calories and fat). Maybe the butter could be left out and the olive oil could be divided for both purposes? - 6/27/07

    Sounds really good but high in calories! Im sure it will still taste good w/o the butter. That will reduce some of the calories. - 3/25/07
