Roasted asparagus - Italian Style

Ingredients
16 medium asparagus spears2 tablespoons olive oil1 tablespoon garlic powdersea salt to tastefresh ground pepper to taste2 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese6 tablespoons balsamic vinegar - reduced
Directions
Break off woody ends of asparagus spears and place them in a large zip lock bag with the 2 tablespoons olive oil, the garlic powder and the salt and pepper. Close top of bag and move asparagus around until all is coated. Put in refrigerator until ready to use.

When ready to cook, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Dump contents of zip lock bag onto cookie sheet and spread spears into single layer. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Roast for 20-30 minutes (until softened and parmesan cheese is crispy). While roasting put balsamic vinegar into small frying pan over high heat and reduce by half to syrup consistency.

Remove asparagus from oven. Put on nice plate and drizzle with the reduced balsamic vinegar. Serve immediately.
