American Chop Suey

Ingredients
Macaroni, whole-wheat, 16 oz pkgTurkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 16 oz Onions, raw, 1 large , chopped, about 1 cupGreen Bell Pepper, 1 medium, chopped, about 1 cupMarinara Sauce, 4 cup (aprox 24 oz)Garlic, 1/4 tspMushrooms, canned, 1/2 cup Makes 4 servings.
Directions
Cook macaroni according to package directions.


In a large skillet over medium high heat, saute the ground turkey, garlic, bell pepper and the onion for 7 minutes, or until meat is browned and crumbly. Drain thoroughly and leave the meat and onion in the skillet. Pour the mushrooms and two cans of marinara sauce into the skillet and stir well to combine.


When noodles are done, drain thoroughly and return noodles to the pot. Add the meat mixture from the skillet to the pot. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
