Oatmeal breakfast bars

Ingredients
4 C Quick Oats3/4 C coconut shredded1/4 C cornmeal1/3 C slivered almonds1/2 unsweetened apple sauce1/2 c water1/3 c honey1/4 c black strap molasses1/4 t salt1 t vanilla extract
Directions
Mix all ingredients together. The applesauce makes this recipe very cakey so you may want to add a little extra water or maybe a tablespoon of oil. Once mixed, press into jelly roll type pan. (I use my toaster oven to cut down on the electric.) Put into oven at 200* for 2-6 hours. The longer it bakes, the crunchier they get. We like them around 3 hours when they are cake like. Makes about 18 1.5" squares.
