add an extra 2 tbsp flour to the 1/4 cup. you can also sub butter flavored seasoning for the butter if you have it.
Cook pasta according to pkg directions; drain and keep warm. While pasta cooks, pour skim milk into med. saucepan. Whisk in the flour 1/3 cup at a time. Separately, whisk together the egg yolk and half & half, then add to pan. Bring to gentle boil over med heat, whisking contantly. Continue cooking about ten mins or until sauce thickens. Add salt, white pepper, butter and nutmeg. Reduce heat to low. Add parm cheese and tomatoes and simmer for 5 mins, whisking often.
Cook bacon and crumble. Combine cooked pasta and sauce mixture in large bowl. Top with crumbled bacon, basil and black pepper. Enjoy!
