Slowcooker Chicken Caccitore

Ingredients
1 medium onion, thinly sliced 22 ounces skinless, boneless, chicken breast tenderloins (or chicken breasts, quartered)1 can (6 oz) low salt tomato paste (like Meijer's Organic)8 ounces fresh sliced mushrooms1/4 teaspoon kosher salt1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper1 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic (about 3 cloves)1 teaspoon dried oregano1/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves1/4 teaspoon celery seed1 bay leaf1/4 cup dry white wine
Directions
Place the sliced onion in the bottom of the slowcooker. Add chicken pieces.


In a bowl, stir together all the remaining ingredients. Pour (or spread) over the chicken.


Cover; cook on LOW for 8 hours (HIGH for 4 hours if you must, but slower is better).


Serve chicken pieces and sauce over pasta (not included in nutritional info)
