Ingredients
2 pounds boneless chicken breast1 pound mushrooms1 bell pepper1 medium onion2 cups fresh tomato6 ounces tomato paste, low sodium12 ounces tomato sauce, low sodium1 teaspoon oregano1 teaspoon basil3 cloves of garlic1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker, cover and cook on low 7-8 hours

    I added just a little bit of sugar (2 Tbsp.) to the crockpot also due to the tomato paste being in the recipe. Tomato paste makes the sauce sharper. By adding a little sugar, the sharpness is remedied. This recipe is thicker than others I have had. - 2/1/10
