Curried split peas (Dahl)

Ingredients
1 c yellow or green split peas3.5 cups water2 med onions5 cloves garlic2T curry powder2 t. ground cumin1 t salt2-4 T cilantro
Directions
Cook peans until soft and mushy.

In a separate sauce pan saute onion and garlic over medium heat in 2 T oil until brown.

Add spices. Simmer briefly. Serve over rice
