Nana's Homemade Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
4-5 peaches, peeled and sliced1 Tbsp granulated sugar1 tsp brown sugar1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour1 1/2 tsp. baking powder3 Tbsp. unsalted butter3/4 cup milk3/4 cup granulated sugar
Directions
Peel and slice peaches. (They will peel very easily if placed in simmering hot water for about two minutes.) Toss with 1 Tbsp granulated sugar and 1 tsp brown sugar. Transfer into lightly greased baking dish.

Mix the remaining ingredients together and pour over peaches.

Bake in a 375 degree oven for 30 minutes or until peaches are bubbling and the crust is light golden brown on top.

    This was NOT at all good. The peaches on the bottom was worth saving, but the top was scraped off and put in the trash. Waste of time and effort. :( - 9/12/10

    I was really unimpressed with the results of this recipe. It was too cakey for my tastes - Dense and unenjoyable. I feel like I did something wrong with it. I could, however, see it being lovely with pears or a firmer-textured fruit. I just wouldn't call it cobbler. - 7/14/10

    It was really easy to make and quite tasty! However, I changed the topping into more of a streusel type by not using the milk and instead mixing flour, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. I also used self rising flour because I didn't have regular flour on hand. I will definitely make this again! - 6/23/10

    I made mine with soy milk and used half wheat flour and half white flour, and I also used fresh pears b/c that is what I had one hand. Its in the oven now! - 11/16/09

    This was very good and basically disappeared! My family loved it. The only thing I did not like is that the topping came out kind of cakey, I prefer a crumbled crunchy cobbler topping. But, it was still delicious!!! - 8/16/09
