Combine the pancake mix and chocolate chips in a bowl. Add water and stir. Less water for thicker pancakes, more for thinner. Your batter will be slightly lumpy with the consistency of cake batter.

Use nonstick spray to oil your griddle. Use a large teaspoon to distribute your batter on the griddle into four inch circles. Two spoons should be enough. Pancakes are ready to be flipped when bubbles appear along the sides, after about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for about one minute more. Serve with syrup.
