Wash all vegetables dice up carrots, peppers, yam.
Chop up cabbage into bite size pieces leaving out core.
Boil cabbage covered for about 15 minutes in 3 cups of water, after cabbage has started to get tender add in the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 15 or 20 more minutes makes about 12 servings.
