Greek Style Sloppy Joes

Ingredients
1 Lb ground Beef1/2 c Chopped Onion15 oz tomato sauce1tsp oregano1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp pepper2 c shredded Romaine4 oz feta cheese, crumbled
Directions
Brown meat and inion. Drain. Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for about 5 mins.

Serve on a bed of Romaine with feta cheese sprinkled on top.

    Being Greek I have made this before. I add in cinnamon and a pinch of clove. I leave out the feta and sprinkle on kasti cheese. add more sauce you have Greek tomato sauce for your pasta - 7/18/09

    I love this recipe i've found a few variations of this also. I use ground turkey in place of the beef its great. I've also found it to be a little runny so i've used 1/3 cup of instant rice in this also. Also use a greek seasoning instead of the spices. this is one of those make it for you recipes! - 6/7/10
