Brown Sugar Kitchen Cornmeal Waffles (Gourmet Magazine)

Ingredients
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast1/2 c warm water2 large eggs, lightly beaten2 c whole milk2/3 c cornmeal1 1/3 c all-purpose flour1 tsp sugar1 1/2 tsp kosher salt1 stick unsalted butter, melted and cooled1/4 tsp baking soda
Directions
Stir together yeast and warm water in a large bowl and let stand until foamy. Whisk in eggs and milk until combined well. Whisk in cornmeal, flour, sugar, and salt, whisk until smooth, then whisk in butter.

Chill, covered, 8 hours or overnight.

Preheat waffle iron.

Whisk in baking soda. Make waffles in waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.

Made 5 large waffles in my belgian waffle iron. I considered half of a large waffle to be a serving.
