Nouveau Parkin Cake

1/2 cup whole wheat flour1/2 cup barley flour1/2 cup large-flake rolled oats1 tsp baking powder1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp cinnamon1 cup low fat plain yogurt2 tbsp grated fresh ginger1/2 cup dark brown sugar1/4 cup melted butter1/4 cup golden syrup1 tbsp blackstrap molasses
Preheat oven to 350F, grease a 9" square pan.
In a medium bowl, combine flours, oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
In another larger bowl, beat together yogurt, ginger, sugar, butter, syrup, and molasses.
Add the dry ingredients and mix well, but do not beat.
Bake 40 minutes.
Cool 1 hour in the pan, then turn onto a wire rack and cool completely.
