1/2 cup whole wheat flour1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour1 1/4 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp baking soda1 tbsp cinnamon1/8 tsp nutmeg2 egg whites slightly beaten1 tsp vanilla1 cup mashed banana1 cup sugar1/4 cup applesauceNonstick cooking spray to coat 8 inch by 4 inch loaf pan
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat an 8 x 4 inch loaf pan with the nonstick cooking spray. First combine all wet ingredients and next slowly add dry ingredients. Stir mixture until mixed together. Spread evenly in bread pan. Bake between 45 and 50 minutes. Until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 to 20 minutes. Remove and pan and cool completely. Recipe can also be made into muffins. Bake muffins at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes.
