green gram 100 gmSunflower Oil,5 tsp Salt, 1/2 tsp (remove)*Green Chili .10 cupcilantro
soak lentils in 2 cups of water for about 2 hours ' drain out the water and grind to a smooth paste . now add enough water to make a pancake batter (pouring consistancy ).
Greese a frypan with 1/2 tsp oil and pour 1/4 of the batter and let it cook untill turns brown .flip on the other side and let it cook same way . prepare remaining 3 likewise and serve hot with green mango salsa.

I made this with a few tweaks. I added onion and garlic, along with a little chili powder and salt, they are really good. I think that the calorie count is off though, as a cup of uncooked lentils has more than the total calories of the 4 servings. The calories are almost twice as high per serving. - 11/28/08

100 gm of raw lentil contains about 347 cal so roughly it comes out to be same for 4 servings.

I was very impressed with this dosa which turned out to be moist, yet crispy, with thin consisntency batter. I also felt light after. Strange how SI is famour for pancakes, however, not seen green lentils being used in any! Thank you for the recipe. YUM!! I added a 1/4 " piece of ginger, cut on salt - 7/8/09
