Green Beans with Ground Beef

1 lb extra lean ground beef1 nedium onion, thinly sliced1 clove garlic, minced or put thru press3 Tablespoons soy sauce1/ & 1/2 cups water1 Tablespoon honey3 cups fresh green beans1 Tablespoon cornstarch1/4 cup cold waterhot cooked rice
Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in nonstick skillet.
Drain off any fat.
Stir in 1&1/2 cups water soy sauce and honey. Then add green beans and heat til boiling
Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes
Blend cornstarch and 1/4 cup cold water, stir into meat mix
Cook, stirring constantly until mix thickens and boils for 1 minute
Serve over cooked rice.

I made this the other night and my family REALLY liked it. So did I! I made it Wednesday night and it kept nicely in the fridge. I reheated it for dinner on Fri and it tasted great and we had the last of it tonight Saturday. it is healthy and hearty. I only had raw honey on hand and it worked great! - 10/19/14
