Lentil Tacos

2 cups dry lentils4 cups water3 tbl garlic powder (or to taste)2 tbl onion powder (or to taste)4 tbl chil powder (or to taste)3 tbl ground cumin powder (or to taste)salt (to taste)12 regular taco shells1 cup 2% mexican cheese12 tbl light sour cream1 cup diced tomatoes3 cups shredded romaine lettuce1/2 cup hot sauce
Rinse lentil beans until clean. Place lentils and water in pan to boil. When boiling, add seasonings. Allow to boil for at least 30 minutes or until soft. Add salt to taste.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place taco shells in oven until crisp. Remove. Place desired amount of lentils in taco shell. Top with lettuce. tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, & hot sauce!
