Family Friendly Macaroni & Cheese

Ingredients
2 Tbs. unsalted butter2 Tbs. whole wheat flour1 2/3 cup of 1% milk2 Tbs. parmesan cheese1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese ( you can add more for a cheesier flavor)1 box of pasta ( I used barilla plus elbows)salt/pepper (optional)
Directions
Cook pasta according to package directions

Melt butter in sauce pan on low heat. Stir in flour until smooth. Slowly stir in milk. Increase heat to med-low stirring constantly Bring to a low boil and continue stirring for 5-7 mins. Turn heat off, add parmesan cheese mix until completely combined. Add in Cheddar cheese mixing until completely combined. Pour over cooked pasta and mix until completely coated. Serve

I use different types (shells, penne etc.) whole wheat pastas every time. My kids think they are getting a treat and it is WAY better than the box kind!

I haven't played with the ingredients -red. fat items or skim milk yet to see how it changed the nutrional info. Wasn't sure how it would effect the flavor. Try it out and let me know! :)

A serving size is 1/2 cup.
