Basic Muffin recipe

Ingredients
1.5 c whole wheat flour1 c oats1/3 c sugar1 Tbl bak powder1 tsp saltSpices (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.)3/4 nonfat milk or soymilk1/4 c 100% fruit juice (oj, apple cider, etc.)1 egg (or 2 egg whites)1/4 c canola oil1 tsp extract (vanilla, maple, almond, etc.)1/2 c plain nonfat yogurt (or pumpkin or other fruit puree)1 cup fruit or berries
Directions
Makes 1 dozen muffins
Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degree oven
Combine dry ingredients
Combine wet ingredients
Fold together and add fruit or berries
Divide into muffin tins
Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of turbinado or sugar in the raw on top and bake.
