French Apple Pie

Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar1/4 cup flour1/2 teaspoon nutmeg1/2 teaspoon cinnamonDash salt6 cups thinly sliced pared tart apples2 tablespoons butter or margarineTopping:1 cup flour1/2 cup firm butter or margarine1/2 cup packed brown sugar
Directions
Heat oven to 350*. Prepare pastry. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt; mix with apples. Turn into 9-inch pastry-lined pie pan; dot with butter. Cover with topping.
Bake for 60 minutes.
