Had to use splenda baking to cut down the carbs so I could add it to my diabetic menu. Yummo! - 7/11/10

WHY MAKE NEGATIVE COMMENTS, WE ARE ALL ADULTS AND CAN SEE INGREDIENTS AND JUDGE FOR OUR SELVES. - 7/11/10

To be honest I find that using chemicals instead of natural food products in many of these recipes a bit self defeating. If as mentioned here artificial sweeteners increase appetite then why use them? There are ways to use natural foods in cooking which consumed in moderation do not cause weight gain - 7/11/10

Sounds yummy! I will try this with real butter and eat smaller portion. I don't like the chemical butters/margerine. - 9/8/10

I wish this had lasted long enough for a pic. It was wonderful and relatively easy to make. I used margarine as I had no idea what Becal was, also used 2 whole eggs instead of just whites. Skipped the zest, didn't have any. But even with those modifications, it was soooo yummy!!! - 10/6/11

Very similar to my recipe--really, really good! Love the lemon taste. For a little variety, I sometimes add poppy seed. Also, sometimes I use orange, instead of lemon, juice and rind and add craisins, but it's great without any modifications, too. - 9/8/10

Very good cake. I cut the Becel to 4 Tbsp, 1/8 cup of sugar for the glaze and had to bake it for 1 hour. I cut my loaf in 12 slices.
I will bake it again for sure. Thanks, - 8/6/10

Don't like the "chemicals"? don't make it. We've all heard that broken record before. Sounds really good for those of us who are not that much of a purist. - 9/13/10

I loved this recipe. I'd also like to add when it is asking for comments ALL OF THEM should be welcome. Seeing different points of view is often helpful. I always scan down the comments for different ingredients and appreciate knowing artificial sweetners increase appetite. - 9/8/10
