2 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1/4 cup corn starch 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened 1/4 cup reduced-fat creamed cheese, softened 1 cup light brown sugar, packed 1 egg 1 egg white 1.5 tsp vanilla extract 3/4 cup chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 375F. Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, corn starch, baking soda and salt.
3. In a large bowl, combine margarine and creamed cheese. With an electric mixer on medium speed, beat for 1 minute, or until smooth. Add the brown sugar. Beat until light and creamy. Add the egg, egg white and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth. Reduce the speed on the mixture to low. Add the flour mixture in 2 batches, beating just until combined. With a spoon, stir in the chocolate chips.
4. Drop the dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 9 to 12 minutes until golden. Transfer to a rack to cool. Repeat until all the cookies are baked.
