Turkey and Sweet potato chili

Turkey:1 lb ground turkey1/2 cup finely chopped onion2 garlic cloves, minced2 canned chipotle chilies in adobo, seeded and chopped2 tbsp chopped cilantro1 tsp kosher saltChili:2 tbsp oil2 c chopped onion2 garlic cloves, minced2 green peppers, diced1 red pepper, diced1 sweet potato, peeled and diced1 1/2 tbsp chili powder1 tsp cumin1/2 tsp oregano1/2 tsp cinnamon1 1/2 tsp kosher salt1 28-oz can whole tomatoes, drained and chopped2 15-oz cans on kidney beans, rinsed and drained1 15-oz can black beans, rinsed and drained1 c frozen corn1/4 c chopped cilantro
Combine turkey ingredient. Set aside.
In a large pot, over medium heat, heat oil and add onion. Sautee until softened, 8-10 minutes. Add garlic, peppers and sweet potato. Saute for a few minutes.
Add spices and stir constantly for 30 seconds. Add meat and stir until no longer pink, 8-10 minutes.
Add salt, tomatoes, beans, corn and cilantro. Simmer for 25-30 minutes, until thickened and flavors blend. Test for seasonings and serve with choice of toppings.
