Italian Meatballs

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef1 lb. ground turkey or chicken1 lg. eggs2 slices of whole wheat bread (crumbs)2 tbs. grated parmesan cheese2 tsp. oregano1/4 tsp allspice1/2 tsp ground nutmeg2 tbsp finely chopped onion1 tbsp basil2 cloves chopped garlic2 tbsp lemon juice3/4 tsp lemon zest2 cups meatless spaghetti sauce
Directions
Preheat over 350 degrees. May use ground chicken in place of turkey.

In a large mixing bowl add all ingredients minus spaghetti sauce. Mix well blending all the flavors together.

Form 21 1.5-2 meatballs
.
In a large skillet spray vegetable oil and heat to medium high. Only brown mealballs (do not cook thoroughly). Remove from stove and place in large casserole or roasting pan, top with sauce.
Cook 30 minutes, Serves 7 people 3 each.

Serve with salad, pasta or in a roll. Enjoy

Freezes well without sauce
