Ingredients
3/4 cup granulated sugar3/4 cup packed brown sugar1 cup butter or margarine, softened1 teaspoon vanilla1 egg2 cups whole wheat flour1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (1/2 pkg)
Directions
Heat oven to 375 F.

Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack. Makes 48 cookies.

IMPORTANT: Measure these as a ROUNDED TABLESPOON to have them in a 100-calorie size. (Scoop the dough with a tablespoon-size measuring spoon, and scrape it off flat across the top, you might need to pry the dough out with your finger). That'll make a decent size cookie, about 3" across.
