L.R. Pear crisp

Ingredients
3 quarts fresh pears, sliced1/2 cup sugar1/4 cup whole wheat flour1/4 tsp. salt1 tsp. cinnamonTOPPING:1 cup quick oats1 cup oat bran1/2 cup brown sugar1/2 cup whole wheat flour1/2 tsp. baking soda1/2 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. salt1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 cup butter1/4 cup buttermilk
Directions
Combine pears with other filling ingredients. Spread into a 9"x13" baking pan. For topping, combine all dry ingredients. Add butter and rub with your fingers to mix well. Add buttermilk and mix with a fork until crumbly. Spread on top of filling. Bake at 375 for about 1 hour or until browned. Makes 12 servings.
