Sweet & Sour Red Cabbage

* Cabbage, red, fresh, 1 head, large (about 5-1/2" dia) * Beets, boiled, 1 cup slices * Onions, raw, 0.5 large * Apples, fresh, 2 medium * Carapelli Red Wine Vinegar, 1 cup * Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz) ( * Apple Cider Vinegar, 1/2 cup
Turn crock pot on high and add chopped onion, beets, vinegar, apples, and spices.
Once it gets hot, add in only enough cabbage to that will cook down (about 1/3 of your stash). Pour water over the cabbage and let boil for 1 hour- stirring occassionally.
Once there is enough room, add in another 1/3 of your cabbage stash. Let cook for another hour, again stirring often.
Finally, once it cooks down enough add in the rest of your cabbage and let cook down until the tenderness desired.
Makes ~22~ 1/2 cup servings.
**Note: Cooking this way can take up to six hours. If you want to do this a little faster add more water and keep it boiling.
