Crock Pot Split Pea "Bacon" Soup

Ingredients
1 cup red wine7 cups water2.5 cups dried split peas3 T. chopped garlic2 cups roughly chopped carrots3 cups roughly chopped onions1 bay leaffistful of parsley stems1 T. (or to taste) liquid smoke3 T brown sugar splenda (or to taste)Cayenne salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Fling the first 8 ingredients into crock pot. Set to high cook until everything can be blended. Blend with immersion blender or carefully with regular blender, be sure not to fill it more than halfway! Add liquid smoke, splenda brown sugar, sea salt, pepper, and cayenne to taste. Enjoy!
