Vegetarian Stuffed Pepper Soup

Ingredients
1 can cream of tomato soup1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes1/2 -1 cup tomato sauce (optional if you have it--even leftover marinara would work)1 cup chopped green pepper1/2 cup chopped onions2 cups chopped mushrooms, or two little cans1 teaspoon basil1 clove garlic1 teaspoon smoky Spanish paprika, or Hungarian paprika1/2 teaspoon cayenne, or to tastesalt and pepper to taste
Directions
Saute the onions and pepper until the onions are transparent.. Add one clove garlic and continue cooking for 30 seconds. Add mushrooms, and spices. Cook a few minutes longer then add tomato soup, the can of tomatoes and sauce. Add about 1 soup can of water. Simmer about 10 minutes or until peppers and onions are soft. Traditionally, this soup is served over white rice.
